Explore your coaching path
High performance isn’t just more production.
It’s a business that works better. For you and your team.THREE STARTING POINTS. ONE WORKING PARTNERSHIP.
You don’t need to fit a generic coaching program. Start with the situation you’re in, and build from there.
Still deciding whether to own? From opening-day preparation to the habits that build a healthy business.
STARTUP COACHINGProtect what works, understand the risks, and lead the practice you bought.
ACQUISITION COACHINGFind the real bottleneck. Focus your team. Put a practical plan to work.
PRACTICE RESETYOUR STARTING POINT. YOUR PRIORITIES. A CLEAR PLAN.
Coaching shaped around your practice, with clear priorities and progress reviews.
FROM PREPARATION TO PRACTICE OWNERSHIP
Opening is a milestone, not the finish line. Prepare for day one, then work through the decisions, systems, and leadership habits of early ownership.
Start with the support you need now. Preparation and operating coaching are clearly scoped around your stage and goals.
Budget assumptions, payer readiness, hiring priorities, systems, and a coordinated opening checklist.
Phone handling, scheduling, collections workflows, team roles, and a clear view of operating performance.
Strengthen leadership, refine workflows, and make growth decisions with a clearer view of cash and capacity.
FROM TRANSITION READINESS TO CONFIDENT LEADERSHIP
You’re inheriting more than a schedule. Prepare for the handoff, understand what needs attention, and build trust with the team and patients already there.
Focus on the decisions in front of you. Pre-closing preparation and ownership coaching are clearly scoped to your needs.
Operating assumptions, payer transition questions, staffing, systems access, and day-one readiness.
Team communication, collections follow-up, cash visibility, and a clear “keep now, change later” plan.
Improve the limiting workflows, develop your leadership rhythm, and plan reinvestment around measured needs.
FIND THE BOTTLENECK. BUILD THE WAY FORWARD.
If effort is rising but progress isn’t, start with the cause. Identify what is holding the practice back, then give your team a focused plan to change it.
Begin with a separately scoped diagnostic. Further coaching depends on the findings and your goals.
Review cash flow, scheduling, patient follow-through, payer exposure, and team accountability.
Choose the highest-priority changes. Assign owners, train the team, and check progress regularly.
Review the evidence and adjust the plan. Use progress reviews to agree on the appropriate next phase of support.
HOW THE WORK GETS DONE
A working partnership means translating the plan into what happens on Monday morning.
Review the numbers and the real operating problems. Choose a few priorities instead of trying to fix everything at once.
Turn priorities into specific tasks. Build workflows with your team, with clear responsibilities and due dates.
Use working sessions and a practical scorecard to see what changed and what still needs attention.

MEET YOUR COACH

Dentist. Mentor. Coach.
Family first.
Helping dentists succeed.
Helping people become
their best.
Throughout my career, I’ve mentored young dentists in both clinical care and the business of dentistry. My deepest passion has always been leadership coaching and development: helping people grow, building confidence, and helping a team become the best it can be.
Building and leading my own dental practice gave me firsthand experience with the clinical, financial, and team responsibilities of ownership. I was able to retire from clinical dentistry in my early 40s. That experience informs my coaching, but your path doesn’t need to look like mine. The goal is to build a practice that supports your priorities and the life you want to lead.
Along the way, I was honored to be featured among the Top 40 Dentists Under 40 and in the book “Titans of Dentistry.” I’m grateful for those recognitions, but the opportunity to help another dentist find clarity, develop as a leader, and move forward with confidence is what keeps me engaged in this profession.
Coaching is part of my life beyond dentistry, too. I mentor young people through high school basketball and travel baseball, with the same passion for helping individuals grow and teams succeed.
Above all, my family is my number one priority and the greatest achievement of my life: my wife, Susie, and our three children. They are at the center of what matters most to me, and a reminder that professional success is only one part of a meaningful life.

I believe coaching is my calling. Helping dentists succeed is a chance to give back to a profession that has given me so much.

Review what is included before you engage. Preparation, operating coaching, and additional projects are clearly distinguished.
More production is not the only measure of progress. Cash flow, team capability, and your ability to lead belong in the conversation.
Coaching works alongside your attorney, CPA, lender, and other qualified professionals. It does not replace them.
A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING
We start with your goals, your stage of ownership, and the problems that need attention. Together, we define the scope, meeting cadence, fees, and engagement terms before you begin, with clear priorities and progress reviews built into the plan.
Focused working sessions, practical tools, clear team responsibilities, and regular review. We turn your priorities into specific actions and adjust the work as your practice develops. Progress is assessed against agreed goals, not a promised revenue or profitability deadline.
With a diagnostic to understand what is holding the practice back. From there, we recommend a focused implementation plan based on the findings and your goals. You review the proposed scope and terms before deciding on further coaching.
Yes. If you’re still deciding whether to own, the Associate or Owner program is the starting point. You don’t need a listing, a location, or a commitment to buy to explore the $500 Ownership Readiness Report.
Coaching addresses operational preparation, implementation, and leadership. Your independently engaged professionals handle legal, tax, accounting, lending, and other regulated work within their respective scopes.
